Meet our team who works hard for you.
I was born and raised in Berks County. I am a graduate of Governor Mifflin High School and Shippensburg University with a BSBA in Marketing. I started Secure-a-home in 1988 just out of college. The initial concept of the business has changed from a do-it-yourself retail store to a custom installation full service alarm company. A few years later, I married my husband Luke. I am happiest when hanging with my 3 children and husband. I love working with people and teaching our children it is important to give back to our community.
I was originally from Stowe PA before landing in Exeter Township where we currently live. I started with SAH in January 1991. I originally worked with another alarm company for 5 years prior. I began my career at SAH as an installer/service technician. With the company growing like it has I was able to move into sales. My wife of 25 years and our 2 children enjoy camping and traveling whenever possible. As our children grew up we became involved in little league baseball, Boy Scouts of America and eventually the High School marching band helping support our kids and the organizations where ever we could.
SALES APPLICATION SPECIALIST
I started in the Alarm Industry in 1987. I installed Residential and Commercial systems throughout my career and had the opportunity to travel across the country working on National Accounts. I came to work for SAH in 2005 because I wanted to work for a small company that was family oriented. I have been married for 23 years to my wife Tammy and we have 3 children in the Wilson School District. My wife and I both graduated from Boyertown School District.
I was born in Romania and came to the United States with my family in 1993. I started at SAH in 2005 as a newcomer to the Alarm Industry. I have grown in experience and knowledge over the past 9 years and enjoy the changes that are taking place in the technology we use daily. I am married with 2 children. I enjoy spending time with my family, fishing and cooking.
I am a Pennsylvania native living just outside of Reading with my wife Sue and son Nathan. I enjoy fishing, camping, and working in the garden. I also enjoy watching movies and playing the harmonica. I feel that we are very blessed to live in such a diverse community. I also feel privileged to work in the various homes and businesses and relate to the wonderful people that we call customers.
Since bringing years of experience to SAH in 2010, I’ve enjoyed providing great customer service for our many diverse clients. My husband and I have 2 sons and live in Exeter Township. I enjoy spending time with my family and keeping myself fit and healthy.
The Restoring Hope Foundation was built on the philosophy that communities are built on one house at a time. We have been honored to be part of a yearly event that helps a worthy family rebuild their lives by the kindness of volunteers and the community coming together to make their home a safer place to live. This week long project mimics the ABC Extreme Home Makeover idea but on a smaller scale. Months of preparation go into planning for the specific needs of the family after they are chosen.
3 projects have been completed to date providing families new heating, windows, handicap additions to new furnishings and appliances. We look at whatever needs to be done to help the family make a new start. SAH, Inc. has provided Security and Fire protection in the homes as well as the labor time for the entire project. It is our goal to help out wherever needed.
Extreme Makeover – Home Edition
In May of 2010, Secure-a-home, Inc. was secretly asked to participate in ABC’s Extreme Home Makeover build in our local area. We jumped right into the project after hearing the recipient was a single mother who lost her husband to a heart attack 9 hours before the birth of their daughter. We were fortunate to be involved with all aspects of the project, from the surprise at a local fair to announce they were chosen to the “Move that bus” at the big reveal. Secure-a-home reached out to our vendors and asked for donations of Security, Fire, Central Vac, Intercom, and Video equipment for the house. All requested were graciously granted and along with our entire staff we were able to provide the safety and security that helped make the family feel at home.
It was truly gratifying to see the look on their faces when all was complete knowing that they could move into a home that would be a remembrance of her husband. Trisha Urban, the recipient, vowed to “Pay it forward” and helped the local Home Builders Association of Berks County start a nonprofit for future local projects. Beth Hahn, president of Secure-a-home sits on the Board of Directors for the organization and is looking forward to future projects.
