To our Valued Customers

We would like to inform you of an issue that will affect the monitoring portion of your security/fire system. Your system currently communicates to our central station via a cellular communicator. AT&T is shutting down the 2G cellular network service by the end of 2016. We have had some customers that have already experienced issues with communication failures, and we have upgraded their cellular communicator.

Our purpose is to be proactive and allow sufficient time for you to replace your cellular communicator and have no lapse in monitoring service. We have developed a solution for the inevitable problem as follows: during our normal service hours we will schedule a technician to replace the existing cellular communicator to the most current model available, and test signals to the central station. If during the initial service call any other problems arise or you have any existing problems you would like to have addressed, you will be billed our normal service rate plus the cost of any parts.

Please understand replacing you current cellular communicator may not permit you to benefit from some of the latest technology that our newest customers enjoy. These features include, but are not limited to, accessing your system from a smartphone, home automation (light and lock control), cameras and even knowing your pet’s whereabouts. Please contact your SAH Team for more information on the upgrade possibilities that are currently available.
